Anonymous FTP

Overview

This interface allows you to define how anonymous users interact with your FTP server.

Note:

The Anonymous FTP icon appears only if your system administrator enables FTP services and anonymous FTP.

Anonymous FTP settings

Warning:

We strongly recommend that you deny anonymous users the ability to upload files to your FTP server. This setting prevents malicious software uploads, which can harm your website. 

To configure Anonymous FTP settings, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the checkboxes for the permissions that you wish to allow.
  2. Deselect the checkboxes for the permissions that you wish to deny.
  3. Click Save.

 

Welcome message

You can set a message that anonymous FTP users see when they connect to your FTP server.

To set a welcome message, perform the following steps:

  1. Enter the welcome message in the Anonymous FTP Welcome Message text box.
  2. Click Save.
